Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of maryneff.com (the "Site"), operated by the Law Office of Mary C. Neff LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, submitting the contact form, or scheduling a consultation, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes related to seeking information about our services. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access to it, interfering with its operation, or submitting false or misleading information through our forms or scheduling tools.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your use of this Site, submission of a contact form, scheduling of a consultation, or other communication with The Law Office of Mary C. Neff LLC through this Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is established only after the Firm has determined that no conflict or other circumstance prevents the representation, the Firm has agreed to undertake the representation, and the client and Firm have entered into a written engagement agreement.

Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through this Site. Before the Firm agrees to represent you, information submitted through the Site should not be considered confidential or privileged, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law or rules of professional conduct.

Submitting information through the Site does not prevent the Firm from representing another person whose interests may be adverse to you, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law or rules of professional conduct.

Conflict Checks

The Firm may use information you provide to conduct a conflicts check before deciding whether to accept a representation. The Firm reserves the right to decline any representation, including because of an actual or potential conflict of interest.

No Legal Advice

The content on this Site, including blog posts and practice area descriptions, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time, and the outcome of any legal matter depends on its specific facts. You should not rely on Site content as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your particular situation.

No Guarantee of Results

Nothing on this Site constitutes a guarantee, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of any legal matter. Any descriptions of past matters, results, testimonials, reviews, or examples are provided for informational purposes only and do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any future matter.

Scheduling and Communications

The Site uses HighLevel, a third-party platform, to power our contact form and consultation scheduling tools. When you submit a form or book an appointment, your information is processed through HighLevel on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

By providing your phone number or email address, you agree that the Law Office of Mary C. Neff LLC may contact you by phone or email about your inquiry or scheduled consultation, including appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications. If you separately opt in to receive text messages, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of retaining our services. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for assistance. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle text messaging opt-in information.

Intellectual Property

The text, graphics, logos, and other content on this Site are owned by or licensed to the Law Office of Mary C. Neff LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to or embed third-party services, such as our scheduling and contact form provider (HighLevel) or map and directions tools. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites or services.

Jurisdiction and Licensing

Mary C. Neff is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. The Site is not intended to solicit legal matters in jurisdictions in which the Firm or its attorneys are not authorized to practice. The availability of information on the Site does not constitute an offer to provide legal services in any jurisdiction where doing so would violate applicable law or professional responsibility rules.

Website Information Disclaimer

Although the Firm endeavors to provide useful and accurate information, legal information can become outdated as laws and procedures change. The Firm does not guarantee that all Site content is complete or current and undertakes no obligation to update any particular content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Law Office of Mary C. Neff LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights or obligations arising from an attorney-client relationship established through a separate written engagement agreement or to limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully or ethically be limited.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, with respect to disputes relating solely to use of the website. This governing-law provision does not govern an attorney-client engagement, which is instead governed by the applicable engagement agreement, applicable law, and applicable rules of professional responsibility.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
